Player Piano AI is a division of Ayres Capital Enterprises LTD., Toronto, Ontario ("we", "us"). This policy covers playerpiano.ai and the consulting work we do for clients.
When you book the free call: your name, your email and anything you write in the notes field.
When you send a message: your name, email and message, plus your phone number, company and topic if you add them.
When you subscribe to Player Piano Monthly: your email and, if you give it, your first name. You can subscribe on the newsletter page or by ticking the box on the contact form.
When you request Maestro early access: your name and email, plus your type of business, role and message if you add them.
When you visit: page views counted by Umami, our own analytics, which records the page, the referring site, your browser, device type and country. Umami sets no cookies and does not store your IP address. Pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when a page loads.
When you become a client: information about your business, its workflows and its systems, limited to what we agree in writing.
To answer your message, hold the call and send you the written plan.
To send Player Piano Monthly, only if you asked for it.
To contact you about Maestro early access, only if you requested it.
To see which pages are read, in totals, so we can improve the site.
To do the work a client has hired us for.
To meet our legal obligations.
Form submissions, bookings and the newsletter list are stored in Maestro, software built and run by Player Piano AI, hosted on Railway in the United States. Email we send, including booking confirmations and the newsletter, goes through Amazon Web Services (SES, US East). Where Maestro's AI drafts a reply or a newsletter, the content of that draft is sent to Anthropic's API to write it. Umami runs on our own server at stats.ayrescapital.ca, hosted on Railway in the United States. The website itself is hosted by GoDaddy.
These providers process the information on our instructions and under their own data-processing terms. Information stored outside Canada may be accessible to the courts and authorities of that country. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information, and we share it only with these providers, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
We send Player Piano Monthly only to people who ask for it and confirm by email. Booking a call or sending a message does not subscribe you. Every issue carries an unsubscribe link and our mailing address, as Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) requires, and you can unsubscribe from any issue.
When we work for you, we access your business data only as needed to deliver the agreed work. We treat it as confidential, follow any non-disclosure agreement in place, and use it for nothing else.
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it to us, or as the law requires. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Forms on this site send your information over an encrypted connection. No method of sending or storing information over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Under Canadian privacy law (including PIPEDA), you can:
Access the personal information we hold about you.
Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
Withdraw your consent.
Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal requirements.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post any change on this page with a new date at the top.
